We are conducting research to develop an AI that scores embryo viability using time-lapse incubator videos.Unlike still images, the AI learns from time-lapse footage and patient age, with PGT-A results used as training data.
In Japan, our goal is to bring this technology to market as a non-invasive, software-based medical device for embryo ploidy evaluation.
This technology is being developed under the AMED(Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development) Preclinical Research Program (preF), FY2025, titled “Development and Validation of SaMD for Euploid Embryo Screening via Machine Learning” It is a joint project between Yamaguchi University, Nara Medical University, and Medeta, working toward practical implementation and regulatory approval.
